If there’s one thing we all love doing at the end of the year, it’s a good ol’ retrospective. And here at Murphy Home, we’re no different. Just, instead of your most-played songs, we’re focusing on your most-loved furniture pieces. Because we make furniture, not music. Obviously.
From comfort-first sofas to timeless dining tables, this years favourites all shared something in common; great design. So much so, it was definitely tough to narrow down our clear winners! But nevertheless, we have, and so here they are;
1. The Fontella Sofa
This one comes as no surprise — seeing as it was also the top favourite in 2024! This sofa is a modern ode to mid-century design. And, honestly, if 2025 had a comfort category, the Fontella topped the charts in that one too. The tall, tapered legs of this sofa and distinctive slanted armrests are a nod to a retro aesthetic, while the clever head tilt and reclining mechanism allow for easy relaxation. Of course, with handy USB charging ports that mean a dead phone is never on your horizon, it’s no wonder this sofa is everyone’s favourite this year.
Available in beautiful blue leather or a gorgeous grey fabric, this sofa is an easy winner.
2. The Ellis Dining Collection
Another repeat from last year, and it’s easy to see why; the Ellis dining collection is a firm favourite for many reasons. Expertly crafted from strong and durable acacia wood, it’s a perfect choice for families and busy households. The retro-inspired wire brush finish makes for a clean, modern design that’s always on trend, but timeless enough to remain the focal point of your dining room for years to come.
Available as a 1.8m static table, or extendable up to 2.6m, it’s an easy choice. Pair the matching bench or chairs, and you have a fantastic centrepiece! And if you’re a fan of a cohesive look, the sideboard rounds it all off perfectly.
3. The Shelly Bed Frame
A new winner in the bedroom category, but not for no reason! The Shelly Bed Frame combines style and storage without sacrificing either! These beds are upholstered in a rich velvet fabric, so they just exude comfort. The padded headboard makes for a comfy reading spot, and the winged headboard adds a touch of drama to it all (and I think they look like cute little cat ears, so it’s another pro in my book). It’s no wonder it was so popular!
